Message Alright I have a Blitz DSBC Spec R iD and ever since i have had this controller on the car it has to be "manipulated" to run 18 psi(the boost Im trying to achieve).

I've talked to Sebastian of specialty z and Harry Sandhu aka ztuner and they both say that I should run a gain of 5-15 and use manual mode on the boost controller. I have the z1 GT535r turbo kit.

Here is the problem, Its almost as if manual mode does not work. at a low gain of 10 it can only spool a max of 10.9psi when set at 18. I turn the gain way up to say 40 or 50 and it spools a max of 12 psi when set to 18 psi.

So as you see manual does not work for some reason?

Now if I go to auto and switch the gain to 10 and set the boost to 18 psi the max it spools is around 13 psi. I have to turn the gain up to 45-55 in auto mode while setting the boost to 18 psi to get the boost i'm wanting to achieve.

Could this mean my boost solenoids have gone bad? Just one? or both of them? Or is this a electronic issue with the boost controller computer? Please note I bought this unit used.

The boost controller DOES work I just know somethings not right if you HAVE to turn the gain up that high to get the boost you want. Also what is up with manual mode not working properly? I read in Modified magazine that in manual mode I should experience quicker spool and better control in manual mode. In auto mode something about the computer has to "learn" how to control the boost and adjust.

Very odd problems. Maybe I should just leave it like this?
