hey everyone. so i pulled my transmission to get to a coolant hose leaking onto the driver's side turbo. but in the beginning, i didn't know i was able to get to that hose just by removing the trans...so i was on my way to pulling the motor.so after i replaced everything, (trans back on, hose replaced, and everything put back together) i filled the trans fluid, motor oil, and coolant. NOW: deletes done during this process was the AIV, EGR, CC, PRVR, coolant lines under plenum/throttle body. i've emptied 1 and a half gallon of coolant into the car and when checking from the radiator, it's nearly full...but when i check the coolant tank on the right of it, the coolant is barely touching the end of the dip stick. now, i just drove my car around the block once...didn't really let it warm up too much. noticed the coolant from the radiator dropped very very little. is this normal? here's a little pic of what i did:
also: after all this painting that is done, i noticed after the car was warming up, it was giving out some smoke around the passanger side close to the window. the car was sitting for nearly 2 months and i'm running open downpipes until wednesday. i can't really see where the smoke is coming from, but it looks to be coming from under the car or under the plenum. should i just let it warm up? the gas is also 2 months old. i put some kind of stabilizer in it. i use 93 octane and has about a quarter in it. thanks guys and sorry for the long post.
