| Can anyone confirm what sensor this is? High-pressure switch for A/C? Low-pressure switch? Something else? I’m trying to run down why my A/C isn’t working (compressor not kicking in/cooling, fans seem to blow fine). My A/C is blowing the 10A fuse in the engine compartment each time it’s cut on. My initial guess is the magnetic coil in the clutch assy based on reading past posts about these symptoms. Prior to ordering parts, I decided to make sure it wasn't something more obvious. I found this sensor with the leads twisted together and shorted due to cracked/missing insulation. Unfortunately when I tried separating them further so I could reinsulate them, I broke one. It didn’t take much movement at all either, appears that it was already mostly gone. I was able to do one test with the leads separated and it still blew the fuse, so this is an additional problem. I’ve had issues with the A/C not cooling from time to time. It would go 6 mos without any issues; typically on longer trips is when it would act up. Later that same day it would be fine. Then for a week or two it’d be sporadic, then fine again. This go round it never came back and this obviously needs attention. Thanks a ton for any input!
