Here is a picture to help clerify my post above the green arrow is the connector that has the black and creamy wire. The red arrow is the sensor that goes into the Knock sensor itself. It has only the creamy part on that connector. the other hole in the connector is blank. ( explained above )Would i ground the black wire that comes out of the connector? ( green arrow )

The knock sensor also has two male ends on it. one goes into the creamy wire hole and the other is the blank one. Would i just leave the blank hole of the connector empty or do i need to ground that side of the Knock sensor as well? ( Red arrow )
