I replaced the back up light switch and still get no lights. I can take the switch out of the transmission and push the plunger in manually and get the lights to come on. I am at my wits in, but really wanted to get my lights working and hook up a back up camera at the same time. I know I could wire them both to a manual switch but would really like to know what other things could make them not come on. I do have a short shifter and a solid shifter mount but after some discussion and also trying different adjustments to the bracket could still not get them to come on. I even put the oem set up back in to see if had something to offer but still wont come on. From what I can see in the service manual there is lobe that will engage the plunger when its in reverse but you cant get to it without splitting the trans in half. Seems like it would be hard to fault as well but.....? I searched all over the net but couldnt find anyone that wasnt able to get there lights working after replacing the switch. If you have done this with the trans in the car you know how I feel right now after replacing it and having it not fix the problem. I plead for any assistance......
