Message	going bad (due to moisture). Just unplug it from the harness connector and see if that fixes the issue? Mine is permanently disconnected and removed to cut down on engine bay clutter. Probably a similar issue with the door pin switch too. Try removing and cleaning it. At least with the hood switch eliminated, problem solution is narrowed down...
