Message	to see if it's holding a charge, right? Also, what sandman said about the ammeter, but IIRC normal current draw is more in the range of 50 - 80 mA. 0.5A is too high. Mine was drawing about 250 mA and the battery would last about a week before dying. I disconnected the security system and it now draws about 75 mA.
