| I've done both. Its more time consuming to pull motor and trans separately but over all easier IMO. Especially where you have the plenum off already... The thing about pulling the motor are trans together is the over all length of the combo together... The by the time you have the motor up enough for it to clear the radiator core support the trans is digging into the fire wall and putting the front of the motor facing up in the air while the trans is facing down. \ just imagine that forward slash represents the line from the crank pulley to the trans output. It gets pretty steep. The hardest part about dropping the trans would be the top two bolts going through the bell housing into the block. And when you take the plenum of you can easily see what i'm talking about. If you can't get it from the top just use a bunch of extensions and a universal joint.
