I made a post maybe a month ago about my Z acting like it was overheating after a wash.
After starting and stopping the engine several times that issue went away and has not come backNow I have a random starting issue that appears related to a relay and after rain/wash. The car has power. Also had put dieletric grease on the terminals after they were connected. A couple weeks ago it didnt want to start day after driving in mild rain. I could hear ticking coming from the relays under the hood on the drivers side it, could feel the tick on the horn relay. Took the horn relay out (brand new 2-3months ago but horn still does not work)
Left the car about 15minutes and then it started right up Last week went to Walmart after driving through rain the night before, and same thing, had power but would not start.
This time the "brights" light was flashing dim, still have the relays ticking, but the #4 plug area was making a whooshing sound like air was escaping from somewhere. (this is the only time this sound appeared)
Ran home got tools came back and she started right up did not do anything to it. Took a 200mile trip last night, went thru a few sprinkle showers not enough to have to roll the windows up.
Cars not starting, have the relays ticking again, the "brights" light flashing dim again and the passenger headlight flashing on and off if I do not put the lights on, but is also flashing without the key in the ignition. Removed the battery, cleaned the terminals, put it back in, started right up. Cut if off and back to last issue I mentioned again, have the battery out now, going to reseat all relays and fuses on the box... any ideas wtf might be causing this? how much would i be looking at to have a mechanic look at it? If i can get it to start tomorrow might take it over to NMImports here in Albuquerque
