Message A few years ago, when my plenum was removed, anticipating dead injectors in the future, I did all 6 and on the last runner I did, (#2) I ground through. I took it to my welding class and was able to fix it (no easy task on cast aluminum). I don't know which runner the above pic is from, but from my experience, he dodged a bullet.
Recently I had to grind on it again to clearance new 740cc injectors for the 300 degree fuel rail and I wasn't so confident that there was "plenty of material available" as others have said. I didn't have a bad result as before but I was on pins and needles and was relieved when I finally had removed enough to clear the injector.
As far as replacing dead injectors, if I had to do it again, I would choose plenum pull over Dremel method.
