Does anyone know of a way to make a non CAN ecu communicate a few signals to a CAN based ecu? What im thinking of doing is put electric power steering on my z. Ive acquired a EPS motor and module assy for free, and think it would be awesome to have if i can get it to work. Theres only 5 wires to hook up, and mounting the motor, but getting the engine module to communicate tach signal, and vehicle speed with a CAN network designed control module is going to be a bitch i think. Anyone know of a translator or anything i could use to make it work? Id love to get rid of the entire leaky hydralic system, for neat electronics ;-)
