Hello everyone, I have a 1990 TT with sport 500 turbos, which i can't get them to boost past 14~ pounds. Now my sport 500s came with stock turbo wastegates. I have a hallman manual boost controller maxed out to get 14 pounds. I boost tested the car to 5psi and fixed all of the leaks. I switched the car from bov's back to recirculating valves with no impact. Now i believe that the car has a boost leak at high boost. So how can i find this leak if i can't boost check past 5 psi? What else could it be? Is the hallman with the heavy duty spring only good for 9psi over wastegate?
