the engine block material and into a water cooling jacket. I assume that the entire hole for this bolt is encased by the aluminum of the block and that it does NOT penetrate into the engine's cooling system. In a 'wet' bolt hole, the threads in the hole will seal in the coolant. My concern, if it were a hole tapped into the coolant jacket, is that a helicoil may not seal in the coolant and then there would be a leak there.
