| It is possible that a seized lifter can keep a valve partially open. The result can be very low compression or even zero compression all because of a lifter. Usually only happens in engines that have been sitting for an extended period of time. If that's applicable to your situation, it may be a possibliity. Every head gasket problem I've had on the Z has resulted in low compression of about 80-90. So your 25 seems really low to me. Low like a valve not fully shut due to either being bent or some other problem preventing it from shutting 100%, like a lifter that doesn't compress. Either way, it looks like you'll be requiring at least some repair to that particular head at the minimum. Worst case you might need some short block work... But do the leakdown and go from there...
