Message So I'd like to diagnose my situation in which the fuel pressure drops off when the car is shut off. I have read all I can on it and would like some affirmation that I am looking in the right direction.

Symptoms; Car takes a few seconds to start, and starts weak at that. If I shut it off after it's been running, and restart it, it more or less fires up no problem. Otherwise the car runs strong.

So the plan is to install an in line fuel pressure gauge. Then by pinching in front of or behind the gauge I can determine if if it's leaking back into the tank, or out through an injector o-ring. I just had the injectors done a month ago, so I'm hoping they didn't pinch an o-ring.

So then once I determine where it's leaking I can proceed to check the fuel pump check valve and the line leading out of the tank. Or it will be the injector o-ring.

My question is this. Is the pump easy enough to pull that I could take it out and check the line and the check valve fairly easily? Also is there any advice on usual culprits that are easier to check before I dive into all this wallet first?
