In about 8 years of owning my 1994tt I never did anything in the engine area, except oil and filter. The idle always bugged me, being in the range of 900 to 950 and a little unstable. This past May I lost an injector, and for the 1st time, was forced to do some rather serious mechanical/electrical work in the car. After a few novice errors, a lot of grief, a few dollars and several wild goose chases, my car is finally running again. With the timing adjusted to 15 BTDC, the TPS to .44 and the disabled IACV rpm to 650, I am pleased to report my engine FINALLY idles at 700 to 750. If I could just get the a/c to work properly I would be a happy camper. It is time for me to buy a set of gauges given the fact my old R12 set will not mate with the new style 134a conne connectors. Central grill temps vary from 44 to 50. That is kinda hot. My Jag gets down to 37. The car is finally in a state where I can install the ICs that have been sitting in my basement for many months.
