I noticed the system worked by simply bypassing manually the a/c relay. That meant the dual pressure switch was letting curent through. Looking at the wiring diagram I saw that the ECU provides the ground to energize the a/c relay. My ECU had ceased to accept communication with my ConZult program. That was the final clue. A "new" ECU made the a/c work. Apparently the grounding transistor for this circuit is toast as the ECU runs the engine just fine.
