The procedure calls for disabling the IACV (manually or by computer) and setting the idle to 650 with the sunken screw on the side of the valve. The IACV is supposed to control the idle at 750. I recently had the plenum off so I inspected the unit all around, verified the electromagnet coil resistances, cleaned it and reinstalled it with a new gasket. Idle speed, returned to its ususal circa 900 rpm. Is the valve bad? Is the ECU telling it to run the idle at that speed?
