Subject	Body putty Z3 Z32 Fenders?

Message	Okay so here's the deal. I'm replacing my front body panels and repainting the car because it was vandalized before I bought it. I like the fact that the Z3 style fenders are fiberglass and I like that they cost about half as much as the sherman metal OEM replacements but I am going for a stock look and I don't like those stupid vents. Does anyone think is is feasible and a good idea to just get them anyway and fill them in with body putty? Has anybody done this already? Also, other suggestions of brands help but OEM style is a must.
