Message thanks i appreciate the input, and yes power is a very addictive hobby.
i've yet to speak with the invidual yet but a family member told me that a close friend of theres owns and opperates and automotive machine shop that is local to me. now i know they arent to familiar with z's but they are a race shop so i feel confident with there abilitys. i just want to talk to seasoned and experienced indivduals about what they have done already to get me where they currently are or have been. eg. a motor strong enough to support 500+ whp.

i might go ahead and speak with the guys you recommended as i have worked with rich at rdz when i did my na mtor swap and he was extremely helpful. but i dont want to have to go hours out of my way to send and recieve parts as my z is my dd and i dont want to be running all over kindom come for parts.

but like i said, i have someone reputable to do the work, they just arent familiar with the vg30dett, so i would like to talk with those who are to make sure i look at every possible synerio to be sure i cover all my bases.
the last thing i want is to end up tearing my block all back apart because i forgot to have one little thing done when it was apart.

so, anyone build a 500+ whp car? and if so, what things did you have done to your block/ heads when you sent them to the machine shop??

thanks guys!

Phil

and damn straight, i will have progress pics and updates when the build begins.. ill be getting my front clip next wednesday.
