Message Back while I was tracking down my vacuum leaks, I noticed that the O2's would sit at LEAN while at idle, and I presumed it was due to a vacuum leak. (the actual test procedure calls to check for RICH-LEAN O2 activity with engine @ 2500RPM) I also noticed that when I held RPM @ 2500, the right O2 was much slower to begin swinging from LEAN to RICH than the left O2. I later found out this was due to the fact that the right EGR tube was never bolted to underside of the plenum!! One of many hax I've found since I got the car 3 months ago. Once I found that massive leak, and repaired it, the car idled a lot better, nearly perfect.

Around that same time, I re-adjusted the throttle cable, and re-synched the throttle plates. One plate opened slightly before the other. While doing this and checking my work, I noticed that my RPMs would now dip just slightly when I slowly opened the throttle from under the hood. You see, my idle was so bad prior, and with one plate opening slightly before the other, I wouldn't have noticed it before. But now that the idle was smooth and steady at around 750RPM, I now notice this slight dip in engine speed when I first open the throttle. It might only be a couple hundred RPM on my car though, and I don't notice it from behind the wheel.

I believe the LEAN flag at idle is normal. I don't know if the slight dip in RPM during the transition from closed throttle to part throttle is normal.

Maybe dirty throttle bodies? Dirty or sluggish MAS? Have you checked your MAS voltage? You can check that with DataScan. Just throwin stuff out there now....
