make sure the 5 speed tranny gets only a 75w - 90w synthetic GL4 fluid like: Redline 90w, Amsoil Gear Oil GL4. DO NOT use any tranny gear oil fluid that says good for service GL3, GL4 and GL5 that is only a differential superceeded service rating. I personally have tried many tranny gear oils and found the Royal purple 75w 90 Max Gear to do well in the tranny even though it is a GL4 &5 service rating. I might try the Amsoil GL4 next time since it was not available at my last change. As far as the differential there are many synthetics to choose like: Amsoil, Mobil1, Redline, etc,. just make sure they are specifically for service GL5. I think $750 is high for tranny, differential gear oil, coolant , sparkplugs, fuel filter, oil and filter and K&N filter clean. What was their shop time estimate for this work?
