Today I had my auto trans replaced on my 90TT. Last fall, I lost 3rd and 4th gear. I ordered a JDM trans off of eBay and just had it installed. My Z, is the only Z I have ever driven and I noticed after the JDM was installed it has a solid shift. Much more noticeable than my prior trans has EVER been since I bought it used with 90k on it. I took it for a spin and even though the shifts may seem a little more solid than before, they don't seem to worry me. As it shifted, it made it to 3rd gear and I have no O/D. I tried the O/D button and no fix. My Z used to lose O/D on a occasion (once ever 6 mo or so) and a restart would fix it so it never worried me. I tried a couple restarts with this trans and no fix. I checked for codes and the ECU is giving me a 55. Any idea's where to go from here? I hope the JDM trans is good.
