I'm just trying to see if she'll turn over first, so I'm trying to do the minimal amount of work. I've checked the gas tank, no rust. However, I've heard that I should pump the gas that is in there out and replace it with fresh stuff. Is that really necessary? Is changing out the seals and waterpump necessary too? My biggest dilemma with all of this is that I don't want to spend any extra time, and more importantly money, on this car than I need to in order to get her started and find out if/how she runs. The car hasn't run in 5 years, and I don't know for sure how she ran before that. If I find out that the engine or transmission is shot, than I'll probably just part her out and sink the rest of the money into my 96 NA. Where this gets tricky is that if she does start (I am assuming she'll need quite a bit of other work), I don't want to start her in a condition that is going to harm the car from operating well in the future. Where this exact balance is, I don't really know to be honest. I'm hoping with some aid of you lovely people, I can find out the best way to tackle this.
