Message Ok, here's my story:

Two weeks ago I pulled my plenum to replace an exhaust valve cover "gasket." All went well and I buttoned everything back up, car started fine. The only problem was that when I took it out for a drive, I was only getting 8-9psi of boost. Before the plenum pull, the car was running strong at 12-14psi with no issues.

I performed a boost leak test and found nothing but, figuring I had hooked something up wrong, I pulled the plenum again. This time I replaced the upper-to-lower plenum gasket while I was at it. I also removed the boost cut solenoids (which were already disconnected, but not removed due to it being a PITA). I put it all back together yesterday, but when I drove to work today I was having the same issue! Only 8-9psi of boost!

I have a manual boost controller that is designed for twin turbo setups, so on my lunch break today I went out and tried turning the boost up to see if the car would respond. Nothing! When I got home tonight I did ANOTHER boost leak test and found nothing except the T pipe by the filter (which doesn't matter anyway, as it wouldn't be leaking boost). I also checked my ECU for codes, just to be thorough, and got the "no codes" signal.

I am at a loss and I'm about to pull out my hair! The problem FEELS like a boost leak. It pulls HARD in 1st, all the way up to the usual 12-14psi. But in 2nd and up, it pulls up to 9ish and then tapers off. It FEELS like my air is going somewhere! Does anyone have any idea what I might be dealing with? I'm open to any suggestions here, I just want my Z running the way she was!
