Message Are you trying to remove the EGR with the engine in? The water pipes, EGR pipes and EGR valve all kind of fit together like a puzzle. If I remember right, I removed the upper DS water pipe (two bolts), then the EGR exhaust tube (two pipe fittings), then the DS EGR intake pipe (two bolts on each end). Then loosen the PS EGR intake tube as much as possible (two bolts on each end) and remove the EGR valve (two bolts). That should give you enough wiggle room to get the PS EGR intake tube bolts all the way out. Keep in mind I did this on an engine stand, and the EGR bolts are pretty long. Don't know if you can do it in the car without lowering the back of the engine.

Good luck!
