Subject	radiator/condenser support beam - bumper coated?

Message	In the never ending process or prepping my engine bay for some new paint, I came across a lot of flaking gunk coming off the brace that is at the front of the car. Does this have some sort of OEM bumper coating? I notice some people paint these, and others avoid it. All I can say is that it is a serious paint to completely strip free of all the material on it. Plus, the metal itself is red. My VIN matches a KH3 black car. *shrug*.
