Message	My Z had the same erratic timing at the nissan dealership 2 yrs ago and they couldnt figure it out . The problem was that they were using the "loop" to check timing and it was giving erratic #'s . We tested the timing at the #1 cylinder and it was 15 btdc the whole time . my problem turned out to be a vac leak . Hope that helps anyway .
