| I am getting what sounds like a metal to metal cluck from my driver's side door when the power window is brought up to its fully closed position. The picture below shows the location from within the door where the noise is occurring.
It was suggested that the noise may be from a worn out slider/roller that attaches the window to the track (part 80325M in the illustration below). However, I inspected the slider and track assembly and the slider appears to be fully engaged in the track. Also, when operating the window, it moves very smoothly both up and down. It is only at the moment when the window reaches its fully closed position does the noise occur. Looking at the parts diagram for the door, there is a part identified as 80319N, Window Stopper, that is located in the same area from which the noise is occurring. Does anyone know if this stopper strikes another plate in the door's interior that could be causing the clunk? I'm guessing that the Window Stopper strikes a plate that should have a rubber damper of sorts on it that may have worn out and/or fallen off causing the noise when the two collide. If it's not the Window Stopper, any thoughts on what else could be causing the noise?
