I have a stock NA 5 speed. Pully is stock. The slack, I do not have an exact measurement; I usually tighten until the belt can be turned rolled 90*. THe reservoir was filled with Dex/Merc while off and wheels off the ground, then bleed lock to lock 20-30 times. Then I refilled the reservoir as needed, bled again for 20-30 times lock to lock. Then I turned the motor for a few seconds just to get the pump going. Turned off the car, and rechecked reservoir level, and filled accordingly. Then restarted the motor, and bled /filled the reservoir.I was careful with bleeding this time because I believe I may have starved the original PS pump after changing a steering rack as I kept seeing metal flakes in the fluid. Which is why I changed the steering rack, PS pump, and all hoses.
