Message So my Z is running but I have some issues that I can't quite figure out.

1) When starting for the first time of the day, she is not very smooth. It's very bogged down and then starts to finally catch up. It's like a roller coaster going ever so slowly up the start and then picking up speed on the way down.

2) Once she does begin to move, she is very jerky and I have to put the clutch in and let it back out slowly. However, it feels more like jerky power than anything.

3) While driving down the road, she loses power. I don't mean electricity. I mean throttle power. You will hear the revving and then, out of nowhere, I start losing RPM's. It goes from gaining, to losing, to gaining, to losing over and over again. Regardless how I press the gas, there is no response until she decides to kick back in. It normally only lasts about 2 to 3 seconds per "dwindle" but often happens back to back for a good 30 seconds or so.

I thought it was the DOOLZ causing the power loss so I did the flower pot mod but it still does it. The mod did absolutely nothing so I can assuming it is not the DOOLZ after all.

I have been reading:

I have a new EFI harness. I also have a new CAS. My TPS is clean. My spark plugs are gapped properly and worked fine before I started my project. I'm doubting my coil packs are going out on me but have yet to test them. I have brand new NISMO 740cc injectors. I also have 2 brand new POP chargers.

I'm just a little lost on this one and, after 2 years of being down, I just want to enjoy the ride.

Never Play Leapfrog With A Unicorn!!!

Do yourself a favor and just worry about your own car. I don't see what everyone is so worried about anyway. If someone else wants to perform a modification that you believe will destroy the value, cheapen the Z32 or whatever you can't sit on your hands about, wouldn't that make your tastefully-modified, white bread Z32 more rare and valuable? -- BradZ (FL) on December 23, 2007 at 12:19 PM
