Message	turned-out it was a bad Mass Air Sensor. I suppose if you run the ECU self-diagnostics it would tell you if your MAS is bad, but it might be possible that it wont detect a bad MAS and you'll think its a good MAS when it's really not. Definitely do the 6 Ps like DE said, but also try to get your hands on another MAS and swap it out for a test.
