I've seen a handful of posts on this topic, and most people say to either 1) grind the ~9 spot welds out or 2) use a chisel (somehow...)

I was going to attempt method 1) and use my dremel with a reinforced cutting disc and take out the spot welds a little at a time. I'm not sure if that will work or if someone else has a specific suggestion in mind.

Moreover, there are a few things that I'm unsure of at the moment...

1) There is a wire that goes through the tray underneath. How do you remove the tray while that is still there?

2) There is a fuse box right next to the battery with wires coming through the inside of the passenger fender-well. How do you remove this? Where do the wires go?

3) For those that have removed the battery bracket, does it have to be rewelded into place, or does it have a place to rest and then the two bolts on the end are enough to secure it? I know this is probably a sin, but for someone w/o a welder, could JB weld suffice if needed in this case?

4) Lastly, I noticed Nissan has smeared some sort of cover-up gunk along the seams of the battery bracket. I guess everyone just removes this in the process and scrapes it off?

Thanks in advance for whoever has the patience to answer those questions.
