Subject	Is there a cure for spun rod bearing?

Message	In the process of tearing apart my engine to fix a spun rod bearing and I was wondering is there any cure to what seems to be a common problem with this motor? I'm thinking like will arp bolts help or a certain bearing or procedure to help prevent or at least curb bearing failure in the future? Or is this really not as common a problem as I think? This is my second Z, first TT. Just want to put things back together so I have a solid foundation. Thanks a lot for any help provided.
