I did this a handful of years ago on an NA, if I recall correctly the only real difficulty was having to be pretty much sitting on the motor while working with a soldering iron. Take your time. It's pretty direct, you'll just want to snip off the old connector 1 by 1, soldering on the new connectors, use some heat-shrink wrap to seal them and - I may have even used a butt connector with the solder and heat-shrink to be sure.
You shouldn't have any length issues as the new ones ought to have plenty of length to work with the old ones when clipping a few inches from the old connectors.
