The first thing is first,.. put your ohmmeter to its lowest setting. (likely 20 ohms) Test it. What does it say? Next. You want to test the signal? not a good idea. What is a good idea? Pull the giant connector from the ECU and measure the resistance between the pin on the ECU and the one on the inj connector. (1 should have 12V to it at all times in old-style inj) So on one side, you test the resistance. On the other side you test for full 12V. Easy peezy (Use alligator clips if you neezy)
