...loose in there? Assuming you're talking about the intermittent, high pitch noise, it sounds very close, not dampened by traveling through a bunch of metal. It sounds like something loose, like a washer rattling between the bolt head and whatever it's supposed to be holding down. Check brackets that bolt externally. Check the timing belt idlers, those kinds of things.
