When turning the crank by hand and socket to make sure the valves don't hit the pistons, as in the timing belt write-up, how obvious is it if they do? When turning mine, it does get somewhat harder to turn before giving way again, but I don't feel it's overly difficult. If they were hitting would I have a much more difficult time turning it, or should it turn smoothly 360*? My engine is on a stand. Finally getting to work on it after 5 years of sitting in the garage.
