Message Coolant temp sensor is a 2 wire circuit between the Temp Sensor and the ECU 28/30. Wire of Pin 30 of the ECU is spliced to the black wire of the TPS.

IN ORDER TO CONDUCT THE TEST PROPERLY YOU WILL NEED TO DISCONNECT THE THREE CONNECTORS AND WHEN TESTING TO GROUND YOU SHOULD SEE AN OPEN CONDITION, CONTINUITY SHOULD ONLY EXIST FROM ONE END OF THE WIRE TO THE OTHER END OF THE SAME WIRE. WITH NO RESISTANCE. iF YOU SHOW HI RESISTANCE YOU HAVE A PROBLEM CONNECTION AND WILL CAUSE THE TEMP TO READ HI.

YOU ARE TESTING THE WIRING HARNESS NOT THE COMPONENTS.
