| I'm keenly aware of this problem as I've recently reconditioned my heads for this purpose. The machinist said that according to the JWT procedure my CAS was off 0.012!! My car is a '93!! He performed the fix and I should be reinstalling everything in the car by months end. I'll post when I find out whether it fixed everything or now. In my case the symptom was a lot of timing scatter at low power which translates to a slight hesitation and some visible rust where the CAS interfaces the cam shaft. Note you need to replace the head gaskets when doing the "valve job". That was an unexpected and significant expense I hadn't considered when starting the job.
