The only thing I can think of that was any different was that when I tested the Alternator output several days earlier I noticed the negative battery cable seemed a little loose on the terminal. Not real loose, but loose enough that I could rotate it on the terminal if I pushed with some effort on it with my finger. Didn't do anything about it at the time, but yesterday I remembered it, and thought I should probably tighten it so I did. It was looser than I had thought too, because I was able to turn the tightening nut two full turns with a nut driver to get it tight. Drove the car several hours later and ALL the heat/AC/defrost stuff worked! Time will tell if it was just an odd coincidence, or if perhaps because the cable was loose it was causing a ground issue that was enough to lower the power output to a level that wouldn't run the blower? Dunno, but everything works as of now. I'll post again if I have any other issues.
