Subject	water pump

Message	hey all... so after hearing this crazy annoying rattling i decided to pull the timing covers and crank pulley to see what was up... the noise was comin from the lower front of the engine but sounded like it was comin from somewhere outside the block...... so i just got around to it... i took off the water pump and checked everythign else i could think of.. but what i saw on the water pump was the 4 bolts that go through the pulley were literally chewed up... it seems like the pulley was moving a little bit n ate through all 4 bolts. like someone took a grinder and cut 3/4 oft he way through. the pulley itself was chewed up too. ill post pictures but that doesnt seem normal to me. has anyone experienced this or know what the reason would be?
