Message Did you rebuild or buy a new torque converter..?
when rebuilding you have to get all of the old debris out.
If this was a rebuild with less than 3000miles it should not be your frictions unless you failed to completely clean it out of the old transmission and torque converter. And assuming the shop rebuilt it correctly. The slipping is caused by either burnt frictions and steels or a defective valve body not enough pressure. Hard to tell not driving it and not knowning what the rebuild included..Hope this gives you a starting place.
