There is a procedure for directly splicing the new PTU harness to the old EFI harness to delete the PTU sub-harness,.. I'm *sure* someone knows how to wire it. Just because your harness is only 5 yrs old doesn't mean the wire leading to that pack isn't bad. You need to check the resistance of the wire going from the PTU to the coilpack. Also check the one on the other cylinder you were testing. If they vary widely in resistance, that's your first clue.
