Is there a problem or are you just getting to know your Z ? On start up ( until the car is warm ) the ecu will set your timing to 25 , the ecu is adjusting your timing and it doing this assuming the base timing is set to 15 btdc .so dont let that freak you out . that loop that we're refering to about not using will also read 25 sometimes when the car is warmed up , thats why you shouldnt use it "inaccurate". hope this helps , let us know .
