you could just put a piece of tubing up to your ear and snake it down the rear of the engine on both sides, near the manifolds, turbos, and downpipes. if you hear a ticking from down below, you have an exhaust leak from near there. All you need is a flashlight and a 2 - 3' piece of hose. if it is on your manifolds or turbo., you will have to pull the motor. hopefully it is just on your downpipe or exhaust. you could also blow soem sort of mist or smoke (non flammable!) near the same spots on both sides and see if you are getting any air flow but this would be hard to determine. good luck!
