Remember,.. higher octane resists detonation better than lower. At the same psi larger turbos make a cooler charge than smaller stock ones - that also is helpful. Z1 EPROM? Well that's a variable right there, isn't it? *how* did they tune it? What was it tuned *for*? Specifically designed for your car, (dyno?) or off-the-shelf? Injectors are HUGE, and mean everything when you try just crankin up the boost. Swap out the injectors from something capable of handling high psi, we'll talk.
