I purchased a 91 TT w/ 62k a couple months ago while I was shopping for an NA. I didn't recognize it at first but the front end has what looks like a jspec swap. I'm going by the fender side markers and two square cutouts in the nose for the license plate holder. Besides the fog/clear corner wiring mix-up everything comes together clean and straight. The ic ducting is good just like aspec although I did have to fab a lower front splash shield. The wrinkle is that the bumper reinforcement is missing. I found some info on the late jspec bumper with fiberglass reinforcement but I have not found any info on the early design. Besides the square holes it looks like an aspec bumper to me so to the question: Do I need jspec reinforcement or can I go alum aspec?
