Message	short that allows too much current into the ECU. ECU drives the injectors directly -- too much current hitting the ECU could cause an overheating condition inside? Only thing is --- I'd expect the ECU to have some kind of circuit protection against this sort of thing? A bad ground is perhaps another possibility???
