Message	you boost would indicate it's turning but making contact. If the turbo is going out you'd generally see some oil smoke, though mine only smoked a little. It could smoke from either exhaust depending on whether the turbo is passing oil through the turbine or compressor side or both. If you remove the downpipe you should be able to inspect the wheel for play and oiling.
